May is a very special month for us here at AsianBossGirl. For one, it is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, AAPIHM for short, and it is also Mother’s Day coming up on May 8th!
In light of Mother’s Day coming up, and the three of us on this podcast, today’s discussion will be honoring OUR mothers and talking about what it was like for them as immigrant mothers in this country. While we’ve talked about their immigration stories in past episodes (their journeys to America), we never got to really ask them – “What was it like for you, as someone who left home, to raise a daughter here, in America?”
This month, we are working with Old Navy on a campaign to celebrate our AAPIHM heritage. We are so pleased to be partnering with them on this very important conversation, so thank you, Old Navy, for sponsoring this episode.
